Sustainable Aviation Fuel in Australia
The future of Australian aviation emissions lies with so-called ‘Sustainable’ Aviation Fuels.
The Australian government’s Aviation White Paper maps national aviation policy objectives for the next 15 years, and will be based on the government’s draft policy Green paper, in which a dangerous climate emissions trajectory is implicit. The White paper’s growth objective will prevent almost any aviation emissions cuts, require expensive taxpayer subsidies, and deliver negative environmental impacts.

The Australian government’s Transport and Infrastructure Net Zero Consultation Roadmap will take Australia to a very dangerous place. Net zero 2050 is an unsafe destination. For the safety of all Australians, the Transport and Infrastructure Net Zero Roadmap must be redrawn.
